Antique appraisal day

EAST HAMPTON- The Chatham Historical Society of East Hampton will be hosting its 19th Annual Antique Appraisal Day on March 15 at the Library Community Room, 105 Main Street, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be four appraisers on site. These include Bill Barrows of Thomas Barrows and Sons, Ltd. of Portland, Larry Shapiro of Glastonbury Appraisals, and Tim Verre plus another associate of Hiram Griswold Antiques in Wethersfield. Verbal appraisals will be given on glassware, china, artwork, furniture, musical instruments, military pieces, dolls, jewelry and more. Start gathering your treasures now for East Hampton's own Antiques Road Show. There is a suggested donation of $6 per item for this event. Proceeds benefit the continual upkeep of the Society's museum and one room schoolhouse on Bevin Boulevard. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call 860-267-8953.
