Getting to know your diverse community

SOUTH WINDSOR - Do you want to learn more about the people in your community? Want to explore the diversity that makes your town a special place to live? Come to Getting to Know Your Neighbors: Culture and Customs in Our Community, a monthly series that explores the fascinating differences and similarities of the various ethnic groups that are your neighbors and friends. The first program will be presented on Feb. 20 and will focus on the Hindu community. It will feature activities, food, speakers and audience participation. The free event will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the Friend’s Room of the South Windsor Public Library.
