COLCHESTER- The Cragin Memorial Library will present a two-part seminar that focuses on the life-changing experiences of two individuals who endured the realities of World War II. Part 1 will take place on Thursday, March 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Holocaust survivor Henny Simon will speak about her life before, during, and after the time she was a prisoner in concentration camps of the Riga Ghetto, Gdansk, and Workcamp Korben. In Part 2, on Thursday, March 27, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., World War II Veteran Ben Cooper will speak about his experiences as a combat medic at Dachau. Ben realized that this information needed to be told to help today’s youth understand the realities of war and remember the Holocaust. These programs are free and open to all.
