South Windsor - posted Feb, 17 2014

SOUTH WINDSOR - Join art instructor Mary Wilde on Saturday, April 5, at 2 p.m., for this Young Artist Egg Decorating Workshop at Wood Memorial Library and Museum. Wild will teach you how to become an egg artist and help you create some very special and uniquely hand decorated hardboiled eggs for your holiday table centerpiece. Please note these eggs will be for decoration only and are not edible. This will be a hands-on workshop for children ages 6-12. Students will learn how to dye and embellish previously hardboiled white eggs, using six unique and artistic decorating techniques including some new designs this year. Children should bring a dozen hardboiled white eggs and an apron or old work shirt. Advance registration is required, as space is limited. The fee for this workshop is $8 per child, payable in advance. To register, call Wood Library at 860-289-1783 or visit 783 Main St., South Windsor. The library is open Mondays and Thursdays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visit to learn more about upcoming programs.
