SOUTH WINDSOR - Elizabeth Abbe, director of public outreach for the Connecticut Historical Society, will repeat her program, From Hula Hoops to High Fashion: G. Fox in the 1950s, at Unity Church, 919 Ellington Road, on March 13, at 7 p.m. Admission for the event is $5 per person; $3 for members. Abbe will bring you back in time to Fox's heyday with a slide show going from floor to floor and recalling departments ranging from accessories on the street floor to designer dresses on six, and ending at Toyland on 11. You'll also learn about Beatrice Fox Auerbach, the woman who made every visit to Fox's enjoyable and set the standard for customer service. She invites the audience to bring memories along with your favorite purchases. There will be tables for display of G. Fox. Co. treasures and time for you to share a favorite story.
