Child sexual abuse prevention program

South Windsor - posted Feb, 25 2014

SOUTH WINDSOR - South Windsor Youth and Family Services is hosting a free Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Program on Tuesday, March 18, at the South Windsor Library from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Program is offered for free to parents of all age groups and any facilities interested in educating parents and personnel on how to protect our children. Preventing child sexual abuse is so much more than telling our children “Don’t talk to strangers.” Ninety-three percent of child sexual abuse cases involve persons known to the child: a relative or an acquaintance. Presenters are with the The Children’s Trust Fund. People are asked to register with Liz Langevin at 860-648-6361 ext. 331 or Childcare is provided for free.
