Dr. Marty Zase of the Colchester Dental Group was recently awarded a Fellowship by the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an honorary dental service organization that was established in 1936. The Academy awards medals and other honors to persons who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to dentistry and who are recognized as worthy role models for others in the profession. The Pierre Fauchard Academy is currently comprised of 7000 fellows in 65 countries.

Candidates for active fellowship shall be ethical dentists who have made outstanding contributions to the art and science of dentistry.

Among the accomplishments that were considered for Dr. Zase’s award were over three decades of dental practice service in Colchester. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Zase has developed a number of techniques and instruments currently in use in cosmetic dentistry. He is an international lecturer on cosmetic dentistry and has been selected as one of the top clinicians in continuing education by Dentistry Today magazine. He has published over 50 articles on dentistry and has written the cosmetic dentistry chapter in the book “Tick, Tock, Stop the Clock (Getting Pretty on Your Lunch Hour)” and is on the editorial board of three dental magazines.
