Owners Cliff and Beverly O’Donal purchased the pre-existing Colchester business in the fall of 1987. The husband and wife business team wanted to make their business a fixture in the community.
Since they purchased the company more than two decades ago, they have since expanded it to include three service vans, three delivery trucks, and 24-hour emergency service for their customers, in the event of any trouble.
“We offer automatic delivery, a two-cent cash discount for seniors on their oil deliveries, a volume discount, budget payment plans, and deliver to individuals on the fuel assistance program,” said Beverly O’Donal. “In the summer, prior to the heating season, we also have a pre-buy contract, for customers who want to lock in a price for the heating season. Because we have on-site capacity for 30,000 gallons, we have already bought it ahead of time, and we can pass on the savings to our customers who want to get a head start before the winter.”
Reliable Oil Technicians install gas and oil fired furnaces and boilers, and will repair any heating system that is fired by gas, oil or propane.
Customers can choose from most major brands, including Peerless, Buderus, Riello, and Burnham, for boilers, furnances, water heaters and other related auxiliary equipment.
“If an individual has a specific brand of furnace in mind, that’s no problem at all. We can order it for them,” commented O’Donal. “We also install 275-gallon and 330-gallon oil tanks.”
For the past 23 years, Reliable Oil, LLC has prided themselves on putting the customer first, to ensure that their heating and cooling requirements are met to their satisfaction.
“We currently have nine full and part time employees,” said O’Donal. “We can always be reached, especially in an emergency, when a customer has lost their heat, after business hours.”
