Willington Pizza House
Willington Pizza House has been a long time rock of the community for the past 34 years. Opening in 1978 down the street from its current location, Jeff Kelly saw a demand and was able to meet it, with a particular quality of pizza, staff, and and ambiance that the community loves. When you walk into the 250 year old farmhouse that now has a 200 seat capacity, you see memorabilia of many things, one of which is race cars and the love for old auto parts in particular. Every room has its own unique quality, and the employees give you that warm welcome feeling as soon as you walk through the door.
With the success of Willington Pizza House I, Jeff Kelly and his wife decided to open Willington Pizza Too, just down the road a bit at Phelps Crossing. 2012 brings Jeff’s success with 34 years of service not just to the locals, but to people from miles away; Willington Pizza has been voted Best Pizza in Tolland County by the readers of CT Magazine every year for the past 13 years. The Uconn students agree, voting Willington Pizza “Best Pizza” since 1990, and from 1993 to present Jeff Kelly’s Willington House of Pizza has been selected as one of the Top 100 Independent Pizza Restaurants in the U.S. By Pizza Today Magazine.
In addition to serving great dinners, appetizers, and pizza, Jeff continues to support the community any way he can. He sponsors over 30 local sports teams, school reading programs and 4 different graduation projects. Open 7 days a week, stop by this summer and enjoy your dinner on the patio.
With the Pride that Jeff and his staff take in the food, service and atmosphere you’re sure to find something that will please your entire party from young to old. Stop by and say Hi, you will glad you did.
