TYRANTS AND TREASON?

Posted on May. 16, 2013
Just when you think political leaders in this State have reached the pinochle of stupidity they out due them self’s. On one hand we have a Progressive Socialist Governor and his cohorts that ignore Federal Law on illegal aliens. Then they want to pamper the illegals with driver licenses. On the other hand they want to attack legal gun owners with unconstitutional gun Laws that would have never stopped Sandy hook in the first place. Can anyone say tyrants and treason? (reply)

WOMEN’S HEALTH AGENDA

Posted on May. 16, 2013
In response to “INSENSITIVITY”: Do you also think it’s insensitive to politicize the Ohio kidnapping and ten year abuse of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight in order to push the Democrat “women’s health” agenda? Because that’s what President Obama’s personal news station, MSNBC, just did. (reply)

SPOT CHECKS

Posted on May. 16, 2013
In response to “TAKEN SERIOUSLY?”: Schools were all serious for a bit, now it has stopped. I too, walked into a local school to drop off something for a teacher. Walked right in, walked to the rest room, walked to the office, hand delivered, walked out again. I’ve reported that school to their Board of Education. We parents need to do spot checks periodically, and then report. (reply)

NO ONE WOULD DARE

Posted on May. 16, 2013
In response to “TAKEN SERIOUSLY?”: I agree with you that more needs to be done on school security, however you seem to have forgotten that we have new gun laws that make it illegal to use a gun in school, so no-one would dare shoot anybody there now. Besides if someone does shoot any school kids, we can just blame it on Bush. (reply)

STUPID PARENTS

Posted on May. 16, 2013
We have many people in Connecticut who are willing to allow our schools to go on without the capability of defending the kids against some scum-bag nut, but will openly break the law and put everyone at risk so they can drive our roads and highways with a cell phone glued to their pin- heads. Weapons come in many different forms, and our country loses (on average) 11 teens a day to distracted driving they learned from their stupid parents. (reply)

LOTS OF LUCK!

Posted on May. 16, 2013
In response to “HEAD EXAMINED”: Should you ever find yourself in a situation where a criminal is threatening you and your loved ones with a gun, and since you’ll obviously have no gun of your own to defend yourself with, I’m sure that criminal will be more than happy to examine your head with his gun, and you won’t be able to even try and stop him. Lots of luck with that! I think anyone who refuses to defend themselves and encourages criminals to have their way with them needs their head examined. I think anyone who wants all law abiding citizens disarmed so only criminals will have guns needs to have their head examined. (reply)

NIXON LIKE?

Posted on May. 16, 2013
Why is the latest of President Obama’s many scandals being compared to President Nixon? Nixon never actually used the IRS to audit anyone. After having just been told his campaign was being audited, Nixon said he wanted McGovern’s campaign audited too. But it never was. None of Nixon’s “enemies” were audited by the IRS. However, the IRS did audit FDR’s enemies, Bill Clinton’s enemies, and Obama’s enemies. This particular Obama scandal has only been carried by other Democrats in the past, so let’s stop comparing it to Nixon. One of the other many Obama scandals - the one where he’s wire-tapping the Associated Press - that one is kind of Nixon-like. (reply)

WAITING TO DIE?

Posted on May. 14, 2013
Our government is about to take total control of our healthcare. Apparently the IRS just admitted to targeting anyone who doesn’t agree with President Obama. So pretty soon, anyone who doesn’t agree with Obama will be denied critical healthcare. Our embassy in Benghazi was in a desperate situation for hours. What did our “leaders” in Washington do? Go to bed. Now we know what happens to the “3 a.m. phone call” – it just rings on. Soon our emergency phone calls for emergency medical help will go unanswered and we will all be in the position of Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods on the top of that CIA annex, waiting for back-up that is never sent. Waiting until we die. It’s nice that some journalists are finally doing their jobs and reporting just how our government works, so we can see how our healthcare will work once “Obamacare” is imposed. IRONY

In response to “ARMED GUARDS IN SCHOOLS:” It’s not such a bad idea; seems to work well in Israel. All teachers are trained and armed, and they have had a lot of success. Here in America, we expect our teachers to raise our kids and be social workers, but they cannot carry a weapon to protect their students. Think about the irony. (reply)

STUPID DOES

Posted on May. 14, 2013
In response to “ARMED GUARDS IN SCHOOLS:” Stupid is as stupid does, and this certainly qualifies as stupid, even if it’s clever sarcasm. (reply)

IF YOU’RE LUCKY

Posted on May. 14, 2013
In response to “DEMANDS:” Absolutely correct. The media in this country creates the news, instead of accurately reporting it. That is why they have no credibility. Personally, I don’t get the news through the mainstream media. Why bother? You can find it through other sources that are at least non-biased. And a rule I follow: Never vote for an incumbent unless you know for sure he is honorable in his job as a public servant. And, second: If a politician says it, it’s probably a lie only meant to elevate his own status and save the crumbs for the people, if you’re lucky. (reply)

HEAD EXAMINED

Posted on May. 14, 2013
I think the U.S. Senate should revisit the gun control bill. The proposal to expand the background checks on commercial gun sales, including gun shows and online sales, is essential to reducing gun violence. Personally, I believe that anyone who opposes and who is passionate about owning a gun should have their head examined. (reply)

GOOD POINTS?

Posted on May. 14, 2013
In response to “ARMED GUARDS IN SCHOOLS:” What an irresponsible and foolish comment. What’s wrong with you? By your logic, we should let every citizen have a police car and badge, too. Some truth to your comment, though. Letting children learn gun safety will keep them from being gun-ignorant adults afraid of what they don’t understand. (reply)

TAKEN SERIOUSLY?

Posted on May. 13, 2013
Today I visited a local school to make a delivery. I was shocked that I was able to just walk right in the front door. The receptionist was quite shocked when I said to her “Hi. Why was the door unlocked?" She looked up from her reading and said "It is?" and I said “That is how I got in here.” The schools need to wake up and take the safety of our children seriously! (reply)

READY-MADE CUSTOMERS

Posted on May. 13, 2013
In response to “TOSS THE MAG:” You forgot the other option available for disposition of any 11 or larger magazines: Give it to the U.S. Dept. of Justice. They have ready-made customers for these guns... the Mexican drug cartels they sold weapons to! (reply)

CRICKETS

Posted on May. 13, 2013
Well, what do you know? Newly released data from the Bureau of Justice shows that gun-related homicides declined by 39 percent from 1993 to 2011, and the Pew Research Center found that gun-related homicides fell 49 percent. So what do we hear from the gun control freaks? You guessed it... crickets. (reply)

RIGHT THING?

Posted on May. 13, 2013
In response to “COUNTED:” I agree with everything you said. A large part of the legislation that has been passed in this country is due to our politicians getting votes. Congress does what will get them re-elected, sometimes (not all the time) it’s just the right thing to do, most of the time it’s just the right thing to do that will get them re-elected. Let’s change their emphasis. Vote out the stodgy old-timers and elected new fresh younger blood more in tune with the times. (reply)

BIG MONEY!

Posted on May. 13, 2013
Colorado is contemplating taxing pot. Has good old Danny boy heard about this yet? (reply)

EARTHWORM?

Posted on May. 13, 2013
In response to “REAL THREAT?” Judging by your sardonic and vacuous remarks, it’s fairly obvious that your IQ is similar to that of a common earthworm, with all due respect to the common earthworm. (reply)

NO PRICE

Posted on May. 13, 2013
“It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong.” (reply)
