It was President Bush who authorized the first bailout, but you call that being “hands on,” but when Obama does it he wants “government control.” When Bush had schoolchildren sing to him it was “sweet and fatherly,” but when Obama did the similar it was “brainwashing.” Obama hasn’t been on the job a year yet. Perhaps if he didn’t have hateful Republicans at his throat for that past 10 months more could have been done.

In response to “HEALTHCARE NO FAIR” : This is a perfect example of an uninformed person. Perhaps this person is an avid viewer of Fox News. The health care reform bill is not a “takeover” bill. It is totally about the well-being of Americans. There are 45 million Americans without health insurance either by lay-offs , unemployment, employers don’t provide it, etc. Due to this, many people rely on the emergency room as their primary care doctor. I guess as long as you have your insurance , then who cares about others? What a beautiful Republican value...

Obama is hermetically sealed. Although he has been a media star for years, we have no idea who he is. Why has no one ever come forward to say, “I knew Barry when... ”? Where are all of his old school chums, old flames, and best friends? Where are the anecdotes of what Obama was like, his interests and predilections? Was he friendly, funny , insightful? Did he win any prizes or trophies? Little Bill Clinton was a people-pleaser , a Mama’s boy, a showoff. Young Hillary was a brainiac, smartest girl in school, and bossy. George W. a wisecracker, the class clown, a smartaleck . Sarah Palin was sweet, popular, every teacher’s favorite, and Miss Congeniality . Young Barry was _________ . Blank. This, combined with the fact that his birth certificate and all records pertaining to him are locked up, is extremely odd. But even odder is the way so many people refuse to see this as odd.

In response to “FAIR IS FAIR” : First, President Obama never attempted to take Fox entertainment off the air. Now, if you ever did watch Fox, then you would see that this is not a news channel at all. How can they be a news channel when they are making their own news? They have organized anti-Obama rallies and events... this is a fact. Their anchors do not tell the truth, spread fear, promote hate and racism. You would never see a real news channel do such things... that is the issue and nothing else. A true news channel should report the news, not make it. The true news channels report the news fairly and balanced. Watch Fox News and tell me if O’Reilly , Hannity and Beck do that, or if they prey on their uneducated , fear-filled viewers.

Why was a radical, extremist, America-hating Muslim allowed to continue serving in our armed forces, putting our soldiers at risk? Hasan had posted hateful diatribes online and lectured on the justness of killing the “infidels.” Whoever allowed this to continue with the horrific end result should be prosecuted . When is our government going to realize that these radicals hate us and want us dead? Wasn’t 9/11 enough of a wake-up call?

In response to “PRINTING TROUBLES” : Remember the huge inflation caused by Jimmy Carter printing money ? Carter printed 13 percent of all the U.S. money out there. Guess how much Obama has printed so far, and keep in mind, he is still printing. Just a mere 230 percent, that’s all. We aren’t looking at inflation in the coming years; we will have hyper-inflation . That’s when a year’s salary won’t be enough to buy a roll of toilet paper. Guess what we’ll be using that freshly printed money for?

I can’t believe how many people are misinformed about the Obama Health Care Proposal. So many people think they will lose what they already have. Wrong! Obama is trying so hard to help 45 million Americans that are not as lucky as the rest of the people. His public option proposal will provide a choice for Americans, without taking away anything from anybody. Furthermore, the public option will create muchneeded competition in the health insurance market place. We all know that needs to happen. It is about time! In response to “HEALTHCARE NO FAIR” : Well, I’m one of the 85 percent of Americans who have health insurance, and I am certainly not happy with mine. I cannot see the doctors I want unless I pay exorbitant out-of-network fees and I need to drive three towns over to find the nearest dentist that accepts my insurance . You would think with a Hartford-based insurance company, I would not have to drive 45 minutes to see a dentist. I am also trapped at a job I dislike because I cannot risk losing my health insurance and not having my children and wife have coverage, as well. I could get insurance through my wife’s job, but the cost would be triple out-of-pocket – from $300 to over $1,000 per month. So, if you ask why we need more options for health care and a public option, I just gave you a ton of them.

But she’ll be back as a consultant to the White House on communications and strategic matters. So much better than working within the Executive Office of the President, now she’ll have more time to actually study Mao.

After the attack and murder of 14 innocent people (I am counting the unborn child inside one of the 13 victims) by an imbedded radical Jihadist in the U.S. Army, General Casey said on “Meet The Press,” “Our diversity, not only in our Army, but in our country, is a strength. And as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty , I think that’s worse.” Oh, really? I thought that freedom allows diversity to flourish, not the other way around. My question to General Casey is, how many innocent Americans have to be murdered before freedom and the defense of freedom trumps diversity? Twenty more? One hundred more? One thousand more? One million more?

How does pointing out that Hawaii is a state change that? Guess what? Connecticut is also a state! And according to Obama, there are 57 states in all. Gee, it seems we still can’t see his birth certificate. Kansas is a state, too! Nope, still can’t see that hidden birth certificate. Do you remember his unaccounted spending, which began our economy into a downward spiral? Do you know the billions and billions spent on an unjust war? In response to “HEALTHCARE NO FAIR” : Where do you get the figure that 85 percent of the population is happy with their health care plan? Maybe that refers to Medicare recipients. Medicare, fortunately, is a government-run program . I say fortunately because I was without insurance for two years after retiring because no health insurance for which I applied would insure me because of a pre-existing condition (a head injury for which I haven’t had to have any more treatment since it occurred 17 years ago). If medical plans for the uninsured or insured with companies that raise rates but do not cover pre-existing conditions is “a massive intrusion into the lives of American citizens,” I think the majority of Americans would welcome such an “intrusion.”
