A local TV station in Florida did an investigative piece on voter fraud and exposed huge amounts of ineligible voters who have been voting for years, so the state of Florida is now purging the rolls of ineligible voters. This is bad news, because Democrats cannot win elections without voter fraud. Oh, thank goodness! The Obama Department of Justice is suing the state of Florida for trying to stop voter fraud. Phew! That was close. It’s important that our country be run not by who we the people want, but by who the people running the country want. (reply)

A leading news anchor on Russian state television described Russia as the only country capable of turning the United States into “radioactive ash.” You know, I bet he said that because us super-smart Americans got rid of that evil Bush who made the whole world hate us and replaced him with the kind-hearted Obama who made the whole world love us. Can you feel the love? Don’t forget, a few years back, kind-hearted Obama promised Russia he would drastically shrink our nuclear arsenal in exchange for their love of us. His genius plan is working! In response to “GLOBALLY:” Why not call it “climate change”? It affects the whole world, but some can’t think beyond their own backyard. (reply)

In response to “GREATEST THING EVER:” I can’t believe that anyone who disagrees with Obamacare is a racist. This is a free country and never have I seen everyone agree with everything any president has ever done. Under the Obama administration, the so-called “race card” has been played by people to counteract anyone who doesn’t agree with them. If that’s the only way they can defend their beliefs, I ask, who really is the racist here? (reply)

In response to “CHILL ON THE POTUS!” The president does not run the country. You have no understanding of the government we are supposed to have. Frankly, I hope you do not vote. (reply)

In response to “PERSONAL SPACE:” I get it, I do. I have a boyfriend who is the same way. He doesn’t get that I need space too. I am going away to college and I would like to think that I will have the freedom to do what I want. I plan on breaking up with my boyfriend before I go; maybe you should do the same. I guess it’s the respectful thing to do. Cut ties and go have fun! (reply)

In response to “WE DON’T MATTER:” When I was in college studying physics, the teachers offered insight, and some actually had lectures. Most of them outlined the material and expected the students to learn it on our own. School is different than when you were in it, old timer. (reply)

In response to “COULD THIS BE TRUE?” Good citizen, study history, and you will see that the platforms of the Republican and Democratic parties were switched during the time of abolition and suffrage. (reply)

In response to “PROFIT PROBLEMS:” A minimum-wage job is meant to get kids started in the work world. They were never meant for anyone to support themselves on, let alone a family. College was meant as a way to skip that step. Any person who shows good work skills will advance quickly. Our leaders have not shown this. They should be fired. (reply)

All this talk about a wage hike… I want to know about a COLA raise that actually matters. I want to hear about veterans’ disability being adjusted fairly to meet the rising costs or Social Security disability. The COLA hike each January is a complete joke. The government must fudge the numbers or just can’t see the poor actually needing help to survive. I hope at least one state politician reads this. (reply)

It’s beyond comprehension how Gov. Malloy can actually think he has done a good job of governing our state. He high-fives himself on his “accomplishments.” What accomplishments? Just read in the local paper we are dead last in job creation, yet we are almost at the top of the heap in taxation. How can anyone in their right mind look at themselves in the mirror in the morning and call this success? Wake up, CT! (reply)

In response to “END OF THE DAY:” The solution to staying in business after Democrats try to kill all businesses by raising the minimum wage is to hire illegal aliens. Since they are illegal, you pay them illegally, so you can pay them $2 an hour if you want to. President Obama has drastically reduced the amount of fines collected from employers with illegal aliens on their payroll, sending out an obvious message to all employers: Hire more illegals and I’ll just look the other way! Democrats, like Obama and Malloy actually want you to take jobs away from American citizens and give them to illegal aliens. It’s the new American way! (reply)

In response to “JUST SAYING:” Does the government tell you what car you can and cannot buy? The development of the motor vehicle was followed immediately by registration as its use grew. They don’t outlaw a fast car because there is a possibility that you may hurt someone else! Guns were left alone for years without any restrictions. It’s because people were on a level playing field. Don’t mess with a man with a gun and you won’t get hurt. Very simple concept. Then they started to restrict guns little by little. Now it is so lop-sided, that mostly criminals only have guns and now the results are clear! Only criminals have guns! They are not afraid of committing crimes! Do they ban cars because of drunk drivers? There are statistically more vehicle deaths and injuries than gun incidents! Then why ban guns because of a few wackos? Saying we don’t need guns because we have cops is like saying we don’t need fire extinguishers because we have firemen! Just saying, intelligently! (reply)

According to frequently-heard radio announcements, there are some 16 million children starving in the U.S. This is with food stamps, welfare, free breakfasts and lunches for eligible children, plus who knows how many government food programs available. The world’s greatest food production country that sends food to other countries, and we are to believe those numbers. Repeat a lie often enough and it will be believed. (reply)

In response to “GLOBAL WARMING:” What part of the word “global” do you scientific geniuses not understand? The land mass of the lower 48 states represents only about 1 and one-half percent of the surface area of the planet. While we were experiencing colder than average temperatures last month, much of the world was experiencing warmer temperatures, with the polar ice cap losing ice. And as with most statistical charts, the graph goes up and down, but the overall trend of temperatures globally is up. (reply)

By definition, science can’t speak to religion. It deals only with natural phenomena, those that can be observed and measured. In contrast, religion concerns the supernatural and rests upon faith. Science can’t. It can only stand on facts, i.e. statements that can be proved or disproved. You can’t show me that angels exist, and I can’t show you they don’t. (reply)

In response to “END OF THE DAY:” Profits are evil, didn’t you know that? Everyone who makes a profit should be forced to give it all away, to save themselves from becoming evil. You should also keep running your business, at a loss to you, because we need these high-paying, minimum wage jobs, and you are selfish if you don’t comply. This is exactly the way all Democrats think. I don’t know why we keep voting for them. (reply)

The 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery, had 100 percent Republican support and 23 percent Democrat support. The 14th Amendment, which gave citizenship to freed slaves, had 94 percent Republican support and 0 percent Democrat support. The 15th Amendment, which gave the right to vote for all, had 100 percent Republican support and 0 percent Democrat support. ObamaCare, which took rights away from Americans, had 0 percent Republican support and 86 percent Democrat support. It’s too bad most voters don’t know this. (reply)

The following words should haunt every school teacher, BOE administrator, parent and especially every politician: “I can’t read cursive.” (reply)

I lost my job a year ago. I decided to sign up at my local community college to expand my skills. I am about three weeks into my classes and one of my teachers has not taught the class anything. What is a student supposed to do when what they paid for is not being taught? It’s not fair to the students. Many of the students have said they may drop the class, which I think is not fair. College is becoming a business just like any other – they just want the money. We don’t matter! (reply)
