SCARED

Posted on May. 21, 2013
If you never feared the IRS, maybe you should now… that is, if you’re a solid conservative Bible-believing citizen. The IRS has used the full power of the federal government to intimidate conservative groups and individuals when they differ from the ideology of the current administration. It’s time for a flat, fair or 9-9-9 tax. The IRS has an enemies list and you could be on it next for whatever they determine is not appropriate behavior. (reply)

KEEPING A LIST

Posted on May. 21, 2013
Now that the mainstream media is actually acknowledging three Obama scandals, perhaps they’ll consider covering all the other scandals of the last four years they (accidentally, I’m sure) missed. Like the fake birth certificate, screwing GM investors to give the company to his UAW buddies, going to war in Libya without seeking Congressional approval, the Joe Sestak bribe, the Andrew Romanoff bribe, dropping the already won case against the New Black Panthers, refusal to defend DOMA, firing Inspector General Gerald Walpin for exposing his corrupt crony friend, practicing crony capitalism and wasting taxpayer money with green energy loans to failing companies, taking first amendment rights away from the Catholic church, Fast and Furious, giving guns to Mexican drug cartels while taking guns away from law-abiding Americans, and very many more... FEEL-GOOD DECISION

Posted on May. 21, 2013
In response to “WORTH?” Banks are usually small buildings with one or two entrances. Schools, particularly middle and high schools, are extremely large buildings with multiple entrances and walls of windows all around the school. Please explain to me how one guard stationed at one door is supposed to protect all that property. It is just a “feel-good” decision and a false sense of security, all at the expense of the taxpayers. (reply)

AUDIT ME!

Posted on May. 21, 2013
So if I disagree with a presidential policy, the IRS will target me for an audit, request further detailed information, and/or pass my private tax information to another party. I can’t wait for the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, where the IRS will be auditing and funding my healthcare and its information. They will do an excellent job. (reply)

IDIOTIC

Posted on May. 21, 2013
In response to “SPOT CHECKS:” Big deal if the school doors are locked or unlocked! If some psycho with a gun, or even an axe or a baseball bat, wanted to enter the school to harm our children, then all he would have to do is break a window. No one in the school will be armed and able to stop him. The entire school staff is prohibited by law from defending our children. Stop complaining about useless door locks and start complaining about our idiotic and unconstitutional laws and the idiot lawmakers who dreamt them up. (reply)

FEELING SAFE?

Posted on May. 21, 2013
Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Jay Carney and David Axelrod have all admitted they do not have the slightest clue what is going on in their administration unless they read it in the newspaper. And we’re expected to trust these guys with our national security. If our entire country were invaded, these goofballs wouldn’t even know about it until some staffer showed them the paper over their morning coffee. Then, instead of fighting back and trying to save us all, they would probably go to Hollywood and arrest some innocent filmmaker. Feeling safe in your hope-n-change? (reply)

WHO SHOULD PAY?

Posted on May. 20, 2013
Should the federal government pay for the construction of the new Newtown Elementary School? The town voted that a new school is needed on the same site as the Newtown tragedy. My question is, if the town voted that they need a new school, why isn’t it the town that pays for most if not all of it? As terrible as the tragedy was, the government doesn’t have the estimated $60 million dollars it’s going to take to rebuild. Maybe a nationwide fundraiser is in order? (reply)

VERY WORRISOME

Posted on May. 20, 2013
The more I hear about the Common Core educational standards adopted by most states, including Connecticut, the more concerned I am. Why is cutting things like penmanship and calculus, as many states are doing, a good idea? Goals of cutting up to 50% of the fiction our kids read and replacing them with “technical manuals” is very worrisome. It’s like teaching kids what to think instead of how to think. (reply)

SEND THEM BACK

Posted on May. 20, 2013
In response to “WORTH?”: Hey, wait a minute; you can’t compare the lives of children with money! If you sent your child to help get a politician elected, they would just send them back. (reply)

STINK’N EVIDENCE

Posted on May. 20, 2013
In response to “PERFECT PLACE”: Yep, we don’t need no stink’n evidence, indictment or a trial. All we need is a conviction in the press. (reply)

MAN WHO DECIDES

Posted on May. 20, 2013
In response to “COUNTED”: If you believe in God and prayer, then why do you need a weapon? According to the Bible, doesn’t it say, the Armor of God is the Word and Prayer? God has a plan for those who love him and if it is time for you to go, then it is time - nothing will stop it. God gave man dominion over the earth and it is man who decides he wants to commit crimes with guns. (reply)

SCANDAL?

Posted on May. 20, 2013
There’s been a new scandal a day lately for the Obama administration, but the big scandal is: President Obama is always in the dark about every single one of them. He learns about them in the news, the same as we do. Come on! Are we really supposed to believe that? I’ve been reading stories in the news about conservatives accusing the IRS of targeting them since 2010. I knew about Fast & Furious before he did. I knew he ordered troops to stand down on September 11, 2012 before he did. I’m just a nobody from Connecticut and yet, I know more about what’s happening in our government than the President of the United States? I know more about what’s going on than the leader of the free world? I doubt that. President Obama is a liar - that’s the scandal. (reply)

PARTY FIRST!

Posted on May. 20, 2013
Which one of our elected representatives will stand up for the people and demand full investigation of the IRS passing information of one group to another in violation of the law. Things like this don’t happen without higher ups not noticing or turning a blind eye or requiring that action to be taken. Will one of our representatives stand up for the people or do they just cover up for their party. I think we know the answer. Party first, ignore the people. (reply)

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Posted on May. 20, 2013
In response to “REAL THREAT?”: I have been a proud member of the NRA for about 35 years. No group has done more for gun safety than the NRA. To put the NRA in the same vain as terrorists is so beyond reality that this must be a joke. We are patriots who believe in not just the second amendment, but all of them. When one is eroded as this has been, what is next? Will the government tell us what to say? No! Guess what… they already have! Enough is enough! (reply)

WRONG PEOPLE

Posted on May. 20, 2013
In response to “ARMED GUARDS IN SCHOOLS”: Talk about overstating a case. No one, and I mean no one is suggesting giving guns to 5-year-olds. Your statement is ludicrous to say the least. It is time to think about this. How many lives could have been saved if someone was armed and wasted that piece of garbage that shot all those kids and teachers? Why not have armed guards in the schools? Don’t kid yourself, the guns are there, just the wrong people have them. (reply)

TYRANTS AND TREASON?

Posted on May. 16, 2013
Just when you think political leaders in this State have reached the pinochle of stupidity they out due them self’s. On one hand we have a Progressive Socialist Governor and his cohorts that ignore Federal Law on illegal aliens. Then they want to pamper the illegals with driver licenses. On the other hand they want to attack legal gun owners with unconstitutional gun Laws that would have never stopped Sandy hook in the first place. Can anyone say tyrants and treason? (reply)

WOMEN’S HEALTH AGENDA

Posted on May. 16, 2013
In response to “INSENSITIVITY”: Do you also think it’s insensitive to politicize the Ohio kidnapping and ten year abuse of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight in order to push the Democrat “women’s health” agenda? Because that’s what President Obama’s personal news station, MSNBC, just did. (reply)

SPOT CHECKS

Posted on May. 16, 2013
In response to “TAKEN SERIOUSLY?”: Schools were all serious for a bit, now it has stopped. I too, walked into a local school to drop off something for a teacher. Walked right in, walked to the rest room, walked to the office, hand delivered, walked out again. I’ve reported that school to their Board of Education. We parents need to do spot checks periodically, and then report. (reply)

NO ONE WOULD DARE

Posted on May. 16, 2013
In response to “TAKEN SERIOUSLY?”: I agree with you that more needs to be done on school security, however you seem to have forgotten that we have new gun laws that make it illegal to use a gun in school, so no-one would dare shoot anybody there now. Besides if someone does shoot any school kids, we can just blame it on Bush. (reply)

STUPID PARENTS

Posted on May. 16, 2013
We have many people in Connecticut who are willing to allow our schools to go on without the capability of defending the kids against some scum-bag nut, but will openly break the law and put everyone at risk so they can drive our roads and highways with a cell phone glued to their pin- heads. Weapons come in many different forms, and our country loses (on average) 11 teens a day to distracted driving they learned from their stupid parents. (reply)
