DEMANDS

Posted on May. 09, 2013
In response to “SAY WHAT YOU WANT:” I agree about liberals and the mainstream media. They are very horrible when it comes to dividing people by using political hatred. I worry that some unstable nut will take their words to heart and cause a tragic event to happen. The media goes too over the top with their political support when they should be reporting the news as it happens, and not how they demand it to happen. (reply)

NAUSEATINGLY OVERUSE

Posted on May. 09, 2013
In response to “INSENSITIVITY:” Yes, it is very insensitive to use the deaths of three people and injuries of hundreds to make a valid point about really stupid laws that will accomplish nothing; however, feel free to nauseatingly overuse the deaths of 20 children as a valid reason to take away everyone’s second amendment rights. (reply)

REAL THREAT?

Posted on May. 09, 2013
I have seen the light. After all these years, I now agree that it’s fruitless to give the benefit of the doubt to people who are so obviously corrupt, so clearly malevolent, so bent on hurting innocent people for their own sick gain. No more due process in the clear-cut case of insidious terrorism. When the facts are so clearly before all Americans, for the whole world to see, why bother with this country’s odious and cumbersome system of justice? Send the guilty monsters directly to Guantanamo Bay for all eternity and let them rot in their own mental squalor. No, no, no. Not the wannabe sick kid who blew up the Boston marathon or the freak that’s mailing ricin-laced letters to the president. I’m talking about the real terrorist threat here in America: the National Rifle Association. (reply)

IT CAN HAPPEN AGAIN

Posted on May. 09, 2013
Let us not forget history, in particular Germany in the 1940s, and how the government slowly took away all the rights of a certain group, leaving them defenseless. We all know how that ended. It happened once, it can happen again! (reply)

PERFECT PLACE

Posted on May. 09, 2013
I know the perfect place to bury the Boston bombing suspect – in the dump with the rest of the trash! (reply)

BY THE WAY…

Posted on May. 07, 2013
White House spokesman Jay Carney says there is no sense in discussing Benghazi, or even trying to figure out why four Americans died in the terror attack of last Sept. 11, because it was a really long time ago. He agrees with Hillary Clinton, “What difference, at this point, does it make?” So what if an ambassador who begged for more security, only to have Obama and Clinton reduce his security instead, was brutally murdered? Forget about it! Trying to place blame for something that happened that long ago is ridiculously unnecessary. By the way, Jay Carney also says the reason our economy and unemployment rate is so awful is all because of something Bush did a long, long, long time ago. (reply)

WOODEN SPOON

Posted on May. 07, 2013
In response to “OUTLAWS!” You could just smack these guys with a big wooden spoon like my mother used to do to me when I got too close to the pressure cooker! (reply)

NO LOVE

Posted on May. 07, 2013
In response to “LOST THE LOVE:” After 9/11, our country decided that we are all potential terrorists. Now we are subjected to humiliating searches at airports, severe limitations on our freedoms, and almost complete suspension of our fourth amendment rights. We didn’t stop loving our country. Our country stopped loving us. (reply)

DESERVE MORE

Posted on May. 07, 2013
Why is the state spending $2B on expanding research at UConn when it is ranked as one of the 25 worst schools in the country for teaching the undergraduates? Surely the 22,000 undergraduates deserve more, and should either demand massively increased emphasis on teaching, or move to a school that already does so. (reply)

COUNTED

Posted on May. 07, 2013
I want to stand up and be counted. First, I believe in God and I believe in prayer. I am a Catholic. Second, I believe the United States is the best country on the planet. I don’t see any long lines of people trying to get out. We are a constitutional republic, not a democracy – and there is a difference, folks. We, as the people, should do whatever it takes to preserve our freedoms. Think for yourself, not the way politicians or the media tell you. I am a conservative. Third, I am a member of the NRA and believe in the Bill of Rights and all of the amendments. I have a concealed carry permit and went through all the background checks to get it. I am a proud natural citizen of this country and absolutely hate what these politicians are doing to our beloved country. (reply)

INSENSITIVITY

Posted on May. 07, 2013
In response to “OUTLAWS!” Your sarcasm is disgusting! To make light of something which resulted in the death of three people and the maiming and injuring of more than 100 shows your insensitivity and low mentality. (reply)

GOES WAY BACK

Posted on May. 07, 2013
In response to “RIGHT TRACK:” Terrorism goes back many decades. In the 1920s and 1930s, it was gangsters like Capone and others who killed wantonly, both their own kind and innocents. Terrorism in some form has always been part of our culture, and sometimes it is committed by those who are not citizens, and so we blame other cultures forever. We didn’t hold everyone responsible named Bundy, Dahmer, Nichols or McVey, but if someone is of another culture or ethnic culture, then we blame everyone from that culture. (reply)

SAY WHAT YOU WANT

Posted on May. 06, 2013
In response to “LET’S BE SPECIFIC:” Liberals demand total tolerance of their viewpoints and how everyone should act. If you do not toe the line, they will attack you with nasty rhetoric or find something they can use against you. That is how the mainstream media acts. People can read this and say what they want, but that is how it is. If you do not agree with same-sex marriage, then they label you a homophobe. If you’re a black Republican then you are an “Uncle Tom” or “not black enough,” as I heard a sports figure say on TV. (reply)

BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!

Posted on May. 06, 2013
In response to “FEARED:” What rights? What rights have been taken away? You really need it spelled out for you? Yes, you do still have the right to own guns, but only certain types of guns. Some of the guns you already legally owned may be illegal now. The police spent more than 200 rounds to get just one of their two suspects in Boston, but you now only have a right to 10 rounds per clip. The 2nd Amendment actually says your right to bear arms “shall not be infringed.” Do you even know what the word “infringed” means? It means to trespass upon one’s rights stealthily or gradually. Today you’ve been limited to certain guns with 10 rounds, tomorrow it’ll be even fewer types of guns with one round, and the day after that your entire right will be gone; all because of people like you who don’t see an infringement of your rights as a loss of rights. Fight for your rights now, before it’s too late! (reply)

OUR OWN

Posted on May. 06, 2013
In response to “NO LOGIC:” I totally agree. I say let the countries take care of themselves. Does anyone know how much money we get in aid from other countries? We can barely take care of our own, never mind every other country on the planet! (reply)

SAME BOAT

Posted on May. 06, 2013
In response to “BAD PLANS:” After you’ve asked native Americans how well the government took care of them once they gave up their weapons and could no longer fight back, you should also ask them about their outstanding government-run healthcare. What’s the average lifespan of today’s native Americans? Is it 56 or 58 years old? I forget. But we should probably find out, since we’ll all be in the same boat soon. (reply)

FIRE!

Posted on May. 06, 2013
In response to “NEXT STUNT:” Thank God he didn’t try to stop us from yelling “FIRE” in a crowded movie house when there was no fire, which would be an infringement on our first amendment rights. (reply)

TOSS THE MAG

Posted on May. 06, 2013
Many people have been saying that the new gun laws didn’t physically take anything away from gun owners and that they only need to register what they already own, but that’s not entirely true when it comes to extended-capacity pistol magazines, because the new law says that all pistol magazines must be flush-fitting inside the grip. That means if you bought a pistol that only holds 10 rounds flush inside the grip and you later bought a spare 15-round magazine, you will not be able to register or keep that magazine because it doesn’t fit flush inside the grip of your gun. You also can’t go and buy a second larger gun where the 15-round mag fits flush inside the grip thinking you’ll now be able to register that magazine because the second gun purchase had to be before the law passed for it to count with that 15-round mag. The only option you have is to throw the extended mag in the trash or sell it to a gun store before January 2014. (reply)

POPULARITY CONTEST

Posted on May. 02, 2013
In response to “RIGHT TRACK:” President Obama is very popular, and clearly, he likes it that way. President Bush made sure there were absolutely no terrorist attacks in our country after 9/11, but that also made him very unpopular. Bush didn’t care about his popularity; he cared about his fellow Americans. The reason we’ve had so many terrorist attacks right here in America and in our foreign consulates since Obama became president is because Obama knows that fighting terrorism and protecting his countrymen is so unpopular, and he doesn’t want to be unpopular. Should he do what’s right for the country or whatever will keep him popular? Unfortunately, Obama thinks his popularity is way more important than your life. (reply)

LEGAL

Posted on May. 02, 2013
In response to “NOT AGAINST THE LAW:” Allow me to rephrase you: Being a legal immigrant is not against the law. The older terrorist brother was arrested in Cambridge a few years ago for domestic violence. He beat up his girlfriend, which, in my slanted world, is against the law and should have gotten him deported. The whole family came to this country seeking political asylum because their home country of Chechnya was too dangerous for them. We granted them asylum and even put them on welfare. But they went back to dangerous Chechnya several times to learn how to be good terrorists and how to kill lots of Americans. In other words, they lied to gain political asylum they did not need. That makes them illegal immigrants in my book. Oh, blowing up people is also against the law in my book, and it should be in yours, too. Why are you defending terrorists? (reply)
