Assistant Editor Andrew J. Concatelli joined the ReminderNews in 2004 as a staff writer for the Killingly-Plainfield, Putnam, Jewett City and Colchester editions. In 2005, he began managing and editing the assignments of the contributing freelance writers and photographers across all 16 editions. He is now the assistant editor and also continues to write weekly movie reviews of new theatrical releases.

Andrew earned a bachelor’s degree with double majors in journalism and media studies from the University of Connecticut, where he contributed entertainment stories and movie reviews as a staff writer for the campus newspaper.

At UConn, he also worked behind the scenes with the Connecticut Repertory Theatre. He has a passion for local arts, including music and theater. Highlights of his time at the ReminderNews include covering a local appearance by the president of the United States and serving as a judge for the Silk City Flick Fest.
