Janice Steinhagen joined the ReminderNews in February 2011 as a reporter for the Jewett City/Lisbon and Norwich editions. A veteran journalist of 30 years, she previously covered both her current towns for the Rose City Sentinel. She has also written for the Willimantic Chronicle and for many years served as its art critic. She was founding editor of the Four County Catholic, the newspaper of the Diocese of Norwich, and was a longtime columnist on its pages. Her writing has appeared in Threads, Ceramics Monthly, Art New England and Mothering magazines, and she has co-authored a book, "Heart Sounds: 12 Catholic Doctors," printed by the Marian Press of Stockbridge, Mass. She lives in Griswold with her family.
