Lauri Voter joined the staff in March 2010 as the community news coordinator/editorial assistant. She currently wears several hats at the ReminderNews. In addition to previous article contributions to the Colchester and East Hartford editions, she handles community news, reader submissions and other features for nine editions.
She is now the primary staff writer for the Stafford area, which includes Ashford, Stafford, Union and Willington. “My goal is to develop stories that I would find interesting as a reader. I try to ask the questions I would want answered,” she says. Lauri graduated from the University of Connecticut with a dual major in political science and anthropology, and obtained a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo.
